Does it cost the same as getting it done the first time? I have changed my contact info three times by either editing it online or calling the company (mine are chipped with 24PetWatch). It doesn't cost anything to update info with my company and none other that I am aware of.

You should have everything on your microchipping certificate. You'd have to pay for x-rays to find the chip (sometimes they can migrate through out the body), put the dog through anesthesia (dangerous enough!), and deal with the incision site and sutures etc. Very expensive, very painful for your dog, and can be traumatic! Just go to the website of the manufacurer of the chip and find out how to change your address.
