When I first got Xbox Live my gamertag was MasterJak15. Then after a while I realised it was crap so I bought 2100 Microsoft points and bought COD:WAW Map Pack 1. I also bought the arcade game Sonic The Hedgehog. I used my remaining Microsoft points to change my gamertag from MasterJak15 to Ovaakill. It costs 800 Points to change your tag. I know as I have changed it twice. Once I got bored of Ovaakill, I bought 2100 MP's again and bought COD:WAW Map Pack 2, and another arcade game. Then I once again used my remaining 800 MP's to change my gamertag to iiMPuLSiiV3. It is still iiMPuLSiiV3, but at some point I will probably change it again. So there you have it, from personal experience I can tell you it costs 800 Microsoft Points to change your gamertag. There is an alternative where you can change it for free but it is quite risky and could get you banned. What you have to do is get lots of different gamers to file a complaint about your gamertag. If you do this, Microsoft eventually FORCE you to change it. But as I said, it is quite risky. And once you've done it once, don't do it again or you will definately get banned.
